Peak Accounts - Standard

Holding trades through the news is allowed. News trading is restricted around high-impact news events. Specifically, traders are not allowed to open or close trades five minutes before or after the release of high-impact news.
Trading news will result in a hard breach of the account.

Peak Accounts - Swing

News trading is not restricted. You can open and close trades whenever you want.

Economic Calendar

High-impact news events are determined based on listings from Forex Factory, a well-regarded resource for Forex market news and events. We only take this economic calendar into consideration when we look at news trading.

You can find the news calendar here: Economic Calendar

High-impact news or red folder news look like this:

Which pairs can you trade while high-impact news come out?

High-impact news only affects the pair you trade.
For example, if you trade EURUSD EUR and USD, high-impact news will affect you but not AUD news.

Note:

  • All-day events in the Forex Factory Calendar can be ignored.

  • Tentative events in the Forex Factory Calendar can be ignored.

  • All events without an exact time can be ignored.

Base Camp Swing Accounts - News Trading and Highest Equity (Rare Case)

If a trade is removed due to news trading on a Base Camp Instant Funding Swing Account, the drawdown will still be counted from the highest equity, including the news trade. It is not possible to reset the highest equity, so it is important to keep that in mind when a trade is removed
