News trading is restricted around high-impact news events. Specifically, traders are not allowed to open or close trades five minutes before or after the release of high-impact news.
Doing so will result in a soft breach, which means profitable trades that violate the news trading rule will be deducted from the balance.

News trading is not restricted. You can open and close trades whenever you want.
High-impact news events are determined based on listings from Forex Factory, a well-regarded resource for Forex market news and events. We only take this economic calendar into consideration when we look at news trading.

Which pairs can you trade while high-impact news come out?
High-impact news only affects the pair you trade.
For example, if you trade EURUSD EUR and USD, high-impact news will affect you but not AUD news.

All-day events in the Forex Factory Calendar can be ignored.
Tentative events in the Forex Factory Calendar can be ignored.
All events without an exact time can be ignored.
