This FAQ applies only to Base Camp Instant Funding Accounts who have a trailing drawdown.
Q: Why is my drawdown showing incorrectly on the dashboard?
A: The drawdown displayed on your dashboard currently shows the static drawdown, not the trailing drawdown. This can cause confusion when checking your account status. For instance, the dashboard might show that your account was breached at -6% or -7%, but your actual drawdown will be -8% or more due to the trailing drawdown rule.
We are currently implementing this feature, so the trailing drawdown is showing correctly in the dashboard as well.
Q: What is the difference between the static and trailing drawdown?
A: A static drawdown is based on your initial equity, while a trailing drawdown moves based on your account's peak equity. The dashboard is incorrectly displaying the static drawdown, which does not reflect your account’s real-time trailing drawdown status.
Q: How do I know my real drawdown when my account has been breached?
A: To see the correct drawdown and breach reason, check the dashboard’s rules section. The breach reason will show your starting equity and ending equity, giving you the true drawdown. This calculation in the breach reason is 100% accurate, even if the drawdown displayed on the top of your dashboard might be incorrect.
Q: Where can I see my current drawdown if my account hasn't been breached?
A: The trading platform (e.g. cTrader) always shows the correct information and should be taken as the point of reference.
